Our Story
Salsa Surf & Sail was born from a simple realization: many travelers visit beautiful destinations but leave without truly connecting with the local culture or the people around them.
We wanted to create something different—a retreat that goes beyond sightseeing by bringing together adventure, movement, and authentic cultural experiences. Every activity is designed to help our guests step outside their comfort zones, discover new passions, and leave with unforgettable memories, greater confidence, meaningful friendships, and new skills.

Salsa
Whether you’re stepping onto the dance floor for the first time or refining your technique, our salsa classes are designed for every level. Learn LA Style Salsa (On1) with experienced instructors who tailor each session to your abilities. Improve your footwork, musicality, and confidence before experiencing an unforgettable night dancing to a live local band.
Surf
Nicaragua is home to some of the world’s most consistent and beautiful waves, making it the perfect destination for surfers of every level. Whether you’re learning to stand up or looking to improve your technique, our experienced instructors will help you progress with confidence. Surfboards are available throughout the retreat, so you can enjoy additional practice sessions whenever you like.
Sail
Discover Nicaragua’s spectacular coastline aboard a luxury catamaran. Swim in pristine waters, search for dolphins and sea turtles, try your hand at fishing, and enjoy fresh snacks, cold drinks, and a delicious lunch while taking in breathtaking Pacific Ocean views. It’s the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation.

Build confidence and improve your surfing with four daily instruction tailored to your experience level. Whether you’re catching your first wave or refining your technique, our experienced instructors will help you progress throughout the retreat.
Surfboards are available throughout the week for additional practice sessions.

Enjoy three salsa classes (excluding sailing day) tailored to every level. Learn LA Style Salsa (On1) while building your confidence, musicality, and technique. Wrap up the week at an authentic Salsa Social, where you’ll dance with local dancers and immerse yourself in Nicaragua’s vibrant salsa culture.

Embark on a luxury catamaran sailing experience along Nicaragua’s breathtaking Pacific coastline. Swim, paddleboard, fish, or simply unwind on deck while soaking in spectacular ocean views for an entire afternoon.
